A story built over time
Jean Michel Libert founded the Libinvest Cosmetics laboratory in 1987, with the Ophyto® brand and the Minceur 2011® range. Two years later, he developed Ophyto® energy products and professional protocols inspired by traditional Chinese medicine. The brand
2B Bio Beauty® was founded in 1997, Ophyto® pH in 2007.
This continuity is not a PR argument, it is a constraint we impose upon ourselves. A formula that works is not replaced just because an ingredient becomes fashionable. Our partners work with references they can rely on from one year to the next.
Our expertise
Research, development, formulation, manufacturing, packaging, quality control and storage are carried out at the Binche site.
This organisation comes at a cost. It requires us to maintain industrial facilities and a qualified team for volumes that others would consider insufficient. In return, it enables us to meet three needs that outsourcing makes difficult:
- Quickly correcting a formula. A texture, fragrance or concentration adjustment is decided between the laboratory and production, in the same building.
- Accept short production runs. Launching a new product line does not require reaching a minimum volume imposed by a third party.
- Respond in the event of an inspection. The manufacturing records, batch analyses and retention samples are held by us.
Quality and regulatory compliance
The applied standards
ISO 22716 defines good manufacturing practices (GMP) applicable to cosmetic products. It covers premises, equipment, raw material traceability, complaint handling and batch management.
ISO 16128 provides technical definitions and calculation methods for the natural and organic origin indices of ingredients and products. It is a calculation standard, not a label.

Every manufactured batch is subject to testing before being placed on the market.

Deeply rooted in Binche, Libinvest Cosmetics periodically chooses to put its resources, expertise and support at the service of worthwhile initiatives. This commitment is reflected in particular alongside the Lions Club of Binche, which supports various local, social and educational charities, including the LiSA programme designed to support young people in continuing their studies.
